ARUBA REMRANDT REGATTA 2010 - SUNFISH & BEACH CAT
PRACTICAL INFORMATION SHEET

Regatta location
The central Regatta location will be at Eagle Beach right next to (i.e. North of) the Costa Linda Beach Resort. The Costa Linda resort area is bounded by a metal fence. The central Regatta tower will be approximately 90 meters north of this fence.

The Sunfish and Beach Cat races will be held across Eagle Beach with starts and finishes approximately across the central Regatta tower. The details of the racing courses will be discussed during the captains meeting.

Trailer parking
Sunfish and Beach Cat trailers can approach the Regatta location from the grape tree picnic area north of Costa Linda Beach Resort. Please make sure not to block the corridor to the central Regatta tower when parking trailers. If required regatta volunteers can assist to carry boats to the shore line. Beach Cats are generally recommended to arrive over sea.

Overnight security
The Aruba Rembrandt Regatta offers overnight security at the central Regatta location (i.e for the night from 14 to 15 August 2010). Sunfishes and Beach Cats can be left on the beach and will be guarded. Equipment (i.e. sails, rudders, etc.) can be stored overnight in the most northern Regatta tent on the beach.

Sail numbering

Participants are required to carry a unique identification number in their sails. The number needs to be reported during the registration process. The Regatta permits temporary sail numbers marked with duct tape. As a minimum a sail number is required in the starboard side of the sail (i.e. all finishes will be in the same direction where the race officials will view the starboard sides of the sails).

Beach Cat handicap system

The Texel Rating System will be applicable to the Beach Cat class.

Stopwatch
The use of a waterproof stopwatch with countdown timer is highly recommended for timing your starts. Please note that all starts will be on the water. The details of the start procedure will be discussed during the captains meeting.
